Homework will sometimes be given in Computer Class. Homework will usually be vocabulary development or a study guide to prepare for a test. Any work requiring a computer will NOT be given as homework.
Absences:
Due to the fact that most work is done in class, any days missed may require the student to make-up work in the morning. Students have the same number of days absent to make up missed work (if they were absent for 2 days, they have 2 days to make up the work.) The computer room is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:30am-7:55am. Passes are available from the teacher. Students must have a pass to enter the school before 8:00am. Students may also get permission to come to the lab during advisory.
Missing Assignments:
If students choose not to complete assignments they will earn 0 points. If students choose to turn in assignments late they will earn reduced credit.
Tests and Grades
Tests:
Tests are given at the end of each unit. Students will receive a review sheet and be given review time during class. All class assignments will help the students prepare for the unit test.
Grades:
Grade for this class is based on a percentage of total points earned divided by the total number of points that have been assigned. Grades will be reported as A, B, C, D, E.

Participation/planner - 10%
Tests - 20%
If your child is having difficulty in this class, the teacher will write a note in his/her planner. Please check you child’s planner frequently and feel free to leave a note in there for the teacher as well.
