My name is Zahra Zreik and I have been a part of the Lowrey team for over 18 years. This building has served as my educational institution since I was a young student myself.
After graduating from Fordson High School, I went on to college and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Michigan. I earned a Masters Degree in Public Administration as well as an Education Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and an ESL endorsement from Wayne State University.
I started my career as a classroom teacher in the elementary grades at the young age of 21. Thirteen years into successful teaching I was appointed to the position of English Language Development Specialist. I spent three years dedicating my time with students, staff and parents to help model, co-teach and carry out our district wide initiatives. In 2015, I was offered the position of elementary assistant principal. This position has enabled me to fully comprehend the dedication and magnitude by which an effective leader plays in the role of education. I am greatly committed to the success and growth of our students in this district.
I am a mother of three wonderful daughters who have also attended Lowrey School. I am both honored and privileged to be able to work with such wonderful and dedicated families, staff, and students. I am humbled by the wonderful children you are raising and want you to know that I will always do what is best for them. Your children make Lowrey School the most special building in the district. As always I welcome your questions or concerns on a daily basis. I wish your children a successful school year and look forward to seeing you throughout the year.
