Tips to help your child prepare:

1. Avoid scheduling appointments for your child during this time frame

2. Let your child know that the tests are important

3. Encourage your child to try for his/her best

4. Encourage your child to relax and feel positive about testing

5. Ensure a good night’s sleep and a good breakfast

6. Get your child to school on time

7. Ask about the testing and how he/she thought everything went

8. Support your child’s best efforts with encouragement and praise

Your child will do great on the MEAP. It is a review of what they learned last year and is not a timed test.
