Dear Parents,
Lowrey School prides itself on maintaining strong communication between school and home. I would like to take this opportunity to inform you of an event that took place at our school.
Yesterday, Tuesday, October 5th, one of our engineers noticed smoke coming from one of the bathrooms. The fire alarm was pulled, students were evacuated safely, and the Dearborn Fire Department responded within minutes. The firemen, using a fire extinguisher put out the fire. All of the students were accounted for and were safely escorted out of the building.
Today a student was identified and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken. After investigating the situation, we do not believe that the child intended to inflict harm or cause any damage. However, our staff will always be committed to upholding a calm and safe environment that is conducive to learning. Please use this event as an opportunity to go over the Student Code of Conduct with your children and discuss what is appropriate and inappropriate in school.
Lowrey continues to ensure that this school is a safe and nurturing place to be.

حضرة اولياء الامور الأفاضل،
انه لمن دواعي فخر مدرسة “لوري” وجود خط التواصل المستمر بين الأهالي و ادارتها. لهذا اودُّ انتهاز هذه الفرصة لإبلاغكم عن حادث وقع في مدرستنا.
يوم الثلاثاء في الخامس من هذا الشهر، لاحظ أحد المهندسين في المبنى دخانا صادرا من أحد الحمامات في المدرسة. فتم اطلاق جرس الأنذار. وجرى اخلاء الطلاب بأمان وحضرت دائرة الاطفاء في المدينة خلال دقائق. وبعد استعمال مطفأة الحريق تم اخماد النار.
كل الطلاب جرى اخلاؤهم و تم عدَّهم خارج المبنى.
و اليوم تم التعرُّف على احد الطلاب و تم أتخاذ الاجراءات اللازمة بحقه. و بعد التحقيق، نعتقد بأنه لم يكن لدى الطالب أي نية في التسبب في أي عطل أو ضرر. و في أي حال، فإن الهيئة التعليمية في المدرسة سوف تستمر في التعليم في جو مليء بالهدوء و الأمان. و الرجاء من حضراتكم، انتهاز هذه الفرصة، لكي تراجعوا مع اولادكم قواعد السلوك المدرسية و مناقشتهم في التصرف المناسب و الغير مناسب في المدرسة.
ان ادارة مدرسة لوري سوف تعمل على الاستمرار في جعل “لوري” مكان آمن لرعاية و تعليم أولادكم.
